Position Overview

Full-time assistant professor position for individual capable of teaching Ecology, Soils and Hydrology, Biometrics, Biogeography, Vertebrate Zoology, and other courses as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities also include department and university service on committees.
  • Preference given to candidates with potential for both independent and student-mentored research, though teaching remains the primary responsibility.
  • Broadly trained ecologist needed for teaching responsibilities of both lectures and labs among a variety of courses depending on candidate’s background and qualifications, beginning Fall 2019 (9-month appointment).
  • Faculty members are expected to be active in the publication and presentation of scholarly research as well as engaged in appropriate university and department service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications are PhD level degree in an appropriate area of biology or a minimum of 18 hours of approved graduate coursework in relevant fields of Biology.
