Position Overview:
We are looking for a Director of Marketing to play a significant hands-on role in the development and execution of the PE Five Winds go-to market strategy. The company's successful growth will be driven by the ability to create market demand for the company's solutions, greater brand awareness, and to capitalize on the newly merged organization, thus resulting in strong growth in North America and target market vertical sectors. The person will be responsible for, and heavily focused on, all aspects of demand creation and lead generation.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and implement innovative new marketing strategies that drive higher levels of revenue, market growth and profit.
- Collaborate with sector business development and product management and sales to develop powerful demand creation and lead generation programs, consistent with sector and service line business strategies.
- Develop and maintain systems for the gathering and screening of competitive intelligence relative to company strategy. Provide regular briefings relative to business trends, strategic opportunities and threats and scenario planning. Conduct market and competitive research analysis.
- Oversee local branding activity; position the brand for high visibility with customers, partners, trade associations, outside vendors and media audiences.
- Collaborate with the sales department to plan and create strategies, tactics, activities and materials for the purpose of conveying the most positive marketing message to target markets.
- Oversee development of all printed and electronic marketing materials; ensure that marketing materials position the company and its products for high visibility with customers, partners, trade associations, outside vendors and media audiences.
- Work with sector and service line leads to determine advertising and public relations needs and the appropriate media to meet those needs.
- Oversee the strategic planning and logistics of marketing events such as conferences, trade shows, special promotions, and direct mail campaigns.
- Play a proactive role in product planning and design to ensure product and service offerings are differentiated from competitors.
- Track and report the outcomes of all marketing activities to ensure positive ROI
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years experience with demonstrated success in managing marketing for a B2B professional services company required
- Experience with marketing software-as-a-service tools and integrated solutions packages
- Experience with vertical marketing
- Ability to be self-motivated and organized, and to work independently as well as on teams
- Excellent project management skills, while working on multiple priorities and demands from multiple stakeholders
- Travel up to 20% (primarily domestic, occasional international)
- General knowledge of corporate sustainable business activities and trends preferred
- Experience with social media marketing
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
