Our Client:

We are a software and engineering firm working with leading architecture practices to transform the way green buildings are designed and built. Our mission is to reduce the cost and barriers to building green buildings, by helping our customers more efficiently design, develop and build sustainable buildings.

Position Overview:

With a strong product roadmap and solid customer demand, we are now looking for experienced Building Services Engineers with deep knowledge of sustainable design to join our offices in New York and London. Working with clients internationally, your role will be support leading architecture practices as you help them design and create highly sustainable green building designs. This position is an excellent opportunity to join a young business with a big mission, exciting uses of technology and plenty of growth ahead.

(Full Time/Perm and/or Contract)

Location: The position is based in either New York City or London, but with frequent travel to customer sites either near your base location, or internationally as required by clients.

We also have a short term (3-5 mos) consulting/contract opportunity available. Must be willing to travel overseas for the contract.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

• Complete end-to-end experience developing sustainability strategies for buildings, including both passive and active strategies, and a clear understanding of their interdependencies
• Practical experience modeling complex energy and water needs of buildings
• Practical experience with feasibility studies, master-plans, concept designs, detailed designs and construction oversight on major construction projects.
• Comfort working with first principles building physics, allowing you to be confident with the detail of a problem when you are in front of clients
• Field experience of measuring and verifying the performance of a building and its systems, as well as familiarity with energy management systems. Commissioning experience is a plus.
• LEED AP or BREEAM AP
• Masters in Engineering or related technical field (PhD a plus)
