Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics USA, Inc., Photovoltaic Division, one of the world's leading supplier of PV modules and solar energy equipment has a new position for a Regional Sales Manager in the Eastern Zone. We are looking for a highly motivated, organized and a unique combination of sharp technical and "people" skills professional to join our fast growing solar team.
Position Overview:
Under limited supervision, the selected individual must be responsible for generation and development of PV equipment sales in the eastern territory. Responsibilities include adding and managing channel partners and orchestrating the sales strategy for the area.
The person selected for this exciting position will be expected to build a sales portfolio, develop a pipeline for future sales opportunities and chart an overall growth plan for the territory. The successful candidate will be energetic, creative, highly motivated and have a strong desire and passion to be in the renewable energy business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop network of contacts for commercial, non-profit and governmental opportunities for solar business within designated territory
- Develop new business, manage and support existing accounts for growth
- Attend and support trade shows and conferences.
- Gather and report on competitive and market intelligence.
- Generate leads and support project development.
- Prospecting and qualifying leads
- Make presentations to trade groups and professional associations on the benefits of PV and its economic and environment impact.
- Attend networking events for sales opportunities and relationship building
- Assist in identifying new markets/products opportunities.
- Willingness to travel when needed.
- Perform other job functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of PV industry, US market in particular
- 5 year experience in PV related sales and business development preferred
- Minimum 4 year college degree
- Sales/business development experience in B2B environment preferred
- Experience in multimillion dollar contract negotiation.
- Experience managing project oriented sales process and proven ability to perform financial analysis involving ROI, payback etc.
- Experience in technical sales.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- A deep desire to be in the renewable energy business, preferably proven experience and commitment
- Currently resides in one of the states of choice: New Jersey, New York or Florida
