Do you have a track record of successful performance managing and developing business? If so, consider this newly created role of South West Regional Director located in our South West Region. There is some flexibility related to where this position can be based but your first year will be spent primarily in Reno and Las Vegas Nevada. Reporting to the VP, Efficiency, you will experience all the benefits of working for a small company while having a broad impact in energy efficiency and sustainability.
Role Description
This role will be relied upon to manage and build growth in the SW Region and will have leadership of and accountability for this Region's performance. You will be responsible for strategy development and implementation, as well as strategic account management for all clients across all business lines, including Efficiency, Climate and Sustainability. You will enjoy overseeing the maintenance and growth of our existing customer base by proactively exploring and cultivating new business opportunities including key strategic accounts in order to meet annual revenue goals across all business lines. In addition, attending conferences and client-related events, as appropriate, will be part of your activities in order to develop and promote industry knowledge.
Your drive to maintain maximum client satisfaction and develop long lasting client relationships, as well as interface with clients to proactively resolve issues and/or concerns will ensure the team's success. You will oversee the management of business line programs plus identifying programs and projects related to energy efficiency, demand side management, carbon reduction and sustainability. You will be skilled at overseeing the management and development of Project Work Plans, Resource Budgets, Client Reports, and Communication Plans.
You will ensure the most efficient utilization of financial and labor resources by effectively communicating with internal departments including Finance, Business Development, Service Center and Talent Management Office. You will partner with the Talent Management Office to acquire, lead, train, develop and retain leaders, project managers and technical talent that will ensure consistent quality delivery to our clients. You will lead and motivate your team to success through effective coaching, delegation, and providing appropriate tools and resources as needed.
Role Competencies
As our ideal candidate, you will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Sciences or a related discipline. Your 10 plus years of progressively challenging experience is within energy management consulting or energy industry.
Your experience will include 7 plus years of business development and/or account management experience of various complexity and sophistication demonstrating your ability to meet our client's needs. Additionally, you will have at least 5 years of experience motivating, mentoring and developing others including effectively matching employee skills to meet business needs.
