The Pachamama Alliance is seeking a Development Director to generate and direct new and existing fundraising programs and strategies. The position is responsible for taking our organization to the next level of financial vitality - from its current annual revenue of $2 million to exponential growth. The organization is in a stage of great interest and demand for our services, and concomitant rapid expansion of our initiatives. This is a tremendous opportunity to deeply engage in and serve a potent mission and movement with a powerful community of committed people.
The Pachamama Alliance is a not-for-profit organization that was born out of a unique partnership with indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin in Ecuador. This partnership has led to working with indigenous peoples to preserve the natural world, as well as to work on the broader purpose of bringing forth an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just human presence on this planet.
Pachamama's two-fold mission is:
* To preserve the Earth's tropical rainforests by empowering the indigenous people who are its natural custodians, and
* To contribute to the creation of a new global vision of equity and sustainability for all.
Qualifications:
* A significant track record in fundraising, particularly with major donors and membership.
* Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
* Excellent planning and organizational skills.
* Self-directed with ability to manage multiple projects.
* Innovative, creative, and inspiring approach to responsibilities.
* A team player.
