KLD Research & Analytics, Inc. is the leading authority on social research and indexes for institutional investors.
KLD's Financial Controller is responsible for managing, developing and performing all activities of its Finance Department. Serves as financial representative on the company's Management Committee.
Duties Include:
* Manage KLD general ledger activity, including directing the setup and evolution of the core chart of accounts.
* Manage cash flow for the entire company. Ongoing review and reconciliation of cash position.
* Generate scheduled financial reports and commentary for management team, board members and shareholders, encompassing both current activity and projected financial outlook.
* Manage the company's book of business (research customer revenues), synchronizing the data with the financial reporting and sales tracking software.
* Manage company accounts receivable and payable.
* Organize and direct annual budget development effort. Oversee actual versus budget activity throughout the current fiscal year to ensure the company's financial picture is clearly understood and anticipated.
* Manage the processing of the company payroll.
* Coordinate and manage annual financial audit process. Schedule and manage activities and interface with audit firm.
* Partner with COO in the management of KLD's Human Resources function. Provide on-site support for KLD's staff on personnel-related issues, as well as impetus behind appropriate human resource and operating policy initiatives.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years experience, preferably in a senior financial position, is required. MBA or CPA certification a plus.
Position reports to the COO. Starting pay $70,000.
