Position Overview 

We have full and part time openings in most major metro areas for the position of Whole Foods Merchandiser. This role reports to the Director of Natural Sales.

The Whole Foods Merchandiser calls on multiple Whole Foods stores within the market and will interact with both the grocery and whole body departments. Your primary job is to ensure that maximum revenue potential for all of our lines are achieved in each store every month.

Applicants must have dependable transportation and a valid drivers license. The outside sales/merchandising position will require visits to retail stores as well as a working from a home office.  

Responsibilities 

• Ability to create weekly, monthly, quarterly store visit rotation schedule and maintain regular appointments. 
• Build and maintain store level relationships with key staff in WFM. 
• Work with appropriate WFM team members to fill product voids and secure off-shelf displays.
• Maintain client goals of full placement of all authorized items ensure accurate shelf tags are displayed.
• Monitor stores for scheduled promotional activity and reporting confirmations to Promotional Planner.
• Process and follow up on orders as necessary.
• General retail detail, stock shelves/cold boxes where possible, tweak shelf sets and displays or building displays.
• Check for accurate shelf tags, rotate stock, and apply POS and coupons where allowed, police pricing and promo execution and make a general stamp on each store visit.
• Maintain store sets/testers/merchandising units/racks/literature. 

Qualifications  

Absolutely must have: 

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and ability to work with custom CRM and database ordering system.
• Maintain targeted number of store visits within defined territory and uphold reporting commitment. 

Experience & Skills Required: 

• Experience in the Natural Products Industry is a plus
• Self-starter with strong sales and merchandizing skills 
• Dependable, extroverted, diplomatic person, able to problem-solve successfully with a wide variety of people and issues
• A high level of motivation with a strong work ethic
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
