Description
The Green Building Certification Institute, a separately incorporated entity with the support of the U.S. Green Building Council responsible for credentialing programs related to green building practices as defined by industry systems such as the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating SystemsTM, is seeking a detail-oriented curriculum development professional to join the certificate programs team.
Position Overview:
The Exam Development Associate will work closely with the Certificate Programs Manager to support the development, delivery and promotion of all GBCI certificate activity. The Exam Development Associate will provide information to all related departments regarding test activity; including timely communications to all customer service representatives, information technology partners, and related vendors for Professional credentials.
Responsibilities:
- Test Delivery and Support:

- Liaison with testing vendor regarding candidate test delivery and scheduling issues.
- Responsible for conducting audits and analysis of application data, proactively recommend solutions to change documented problematic application processes and procedures.
- Assist manager with the development of program design components with test development staff for valid measures of assessment that are appropriate to the content, level, and practice setting of the certificate
- Customer Service:
- Monitor candidate registration and testing volume and relay information to customer service group to anticipate volume.
- Maintain customer service e-mail tracking; develop solutions to address volume areas of concern as they arise.
- Develop and maintain correspondence with all volunteers, including recruitment surveys and thank you letters for test development activities
- Data Management:
- Liaison with testing vendor regarding candidate test delivery and scheduling issues.
- Responsible for conducting audits and analysis of application data, proactively recommend solutions to change documented problematic application processes and procedures.
- Assist manager with the development of program design components with test development staff for valid measures of assessment that are appropriate to the content, level, and practice setting of the certificate
Qualifications:
- Experience with curriculum design and development concepts
- Familiar with training objectives and measurement of outcome.
- Experience in adult learning design
- Must possess the sound judgment, professionalism, and reliability needed to support exam candidates and safeguard confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
- General understanding of relational databases. (e.g., Access)
- Experience with SAP
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative skills
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Good grammar and proofreading skills.
- Good people skills, ability to find solutions to difficult situations and respond in a timely and professional manner.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
