Description

The SGL Group is one of the world's leading manufacturers of carbon-based products. It has a comprehensive portfolio ranging from carbon and graphite products to carbon fibers and composites.

Position Summary:

Our objective is to further develop SGL as a top performing GDL supplier in North America. This position will have sales and marketing responsibilities in US markets with high growth expectations in Fuel Cells. It will be responsible for providing sales and technical support to current customers as well as developing new markets and new customers.

The sales territory is focused in the northern West Coast region of the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets by close interaction with and providing technical solutions to key customers in all relevant technologies.
  • Interact closely with R&D, Production and Sales to attain business objectives.
  • Define, formulate and administer projects and collaborate with appropriate partners for technical development.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret performance data from internal and external sources and disseminates summaries within the business team.
  • Analyze market trends and identify market, business and sales opportunities.
  • Proposes, prepares and leads key projects, e.g. funded by US-DOE.
  • Represent SGL externally on industry consortium level (e.g. USFCC), and within the scientific community (e.g. conference presentations).

NOTES:Telecommuting is allowed. International Candidates Will Be Considered. Employer will assist with relocation costs 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelors Degree in material science, natural science, engineering or chemistry.
  • Masters degree in material science or MBA, preferred.
  • Knowledge of materials (MEA), application, testing and technology of FC or related markets.
  • 3+ years sales experience in Fuel Cells or related industries/applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, together with effective IT skills (Microsoft office, minimum).
  • Knowledge of basic P/L principles.
  • Must speak fluent English.
  • The ability to travel 30-40%, both domestically and internationally.
