With our reusable products in over 10,000 retailers and as a best-seller online, we’ve already helped eliminate the need for over 5 billion plastic bags—and we’re just getting started.

We are currently looking for a business development representative to join our team and help us shape the future of retail. If you are a motivated, results-driven individual with a passion for sustainability and a desire to make a difference, this role is for you. As a key player on our sales team, you’ll have the opportunity to partner with some of the biggest retailers and businesses, redefine consumer products, and contribute directly to reducing plastic waste.

Your Opportunity & Impact

As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role in expanding our reach and impact by growing relationships with retail stores and businesses while promoting our reusable bag solutions. You’ll be taught everything you need to know about the product lines and develop your skills while contributing directly to reducing single-use plastic waste.

Responsibilities

  • Creating successful long term reusable bag programs with retail partners.
  • Seek out new Lotus branded and private label partnership opportunities.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for your territory for brands and retail store clients, to build and nurture strong relationships.
  • Provide superior customer service to existing clients establishing reorder cadence, optimal in store presentation and exploring opportunities to expand your account portfolio by understanding their sustainability direction and needs..
  • Reach out via phone call and email to category managers and leaders in sustainability to be a resource.
  • Drive process strategy to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for client creation, retention and expansion.
  • Provide accurate product information, pricing details, and promotional support to clients.
  • Review sales reports and forecasts, tracking performance against targets and presenting insights to the management team.
  • Stay up to date with sustainability trends, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Utilize inventory analysis to determine pattern counts and recommendations, projecting sales and season ending stock levels, year to year comparisons and historic trend patterns

  • Must be comfortable and confident making outbound calls and engaging new clients.
  • Enthusiasm for sales with a tenacious, can-do attitude.
  • Passion for sustainability and a genuine interest in promoting earth-friendly solutions.
  • Must be able and willing to travel for meetings occasionally
  • A strong and natural drive to reach out to new clients and opportunities
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • A natural flair for engaging with diverse individuals and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, Google suite and technology interfaces
  • Must be a learner with proven organizational skills and system developed

  • Compensation range ($70,000-$100,000) includes salary and uncapped commissions

Compensation

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
