Sustainable Queen Anne, a community grassroots organization, is seeking a highly motivated and creative intern. 

Position Overview: 

The position will focus on a sustainability assessment project.  This is an unpaid position for 10-15 hours per week.  The intern will work on helping develop a number of organizational goals including mapping sustainable aspects of the neighborhood, conducting a neighborhood survey, and researching sustainable needs of the community. 

We are seeking self-starters who will be able to complete the needed tasks and also think up and implement new ideas.  Basic knowledge of sustainability and QA community helpful but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Outreach and logistical work (see above)
  • Administrative duties such as typing up notes from meetings, web page updates, facebook updates.
  • Includes some evening and weekend hours (on irregular basis)

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Office skills are required as well as basic comfort with web outreach (social media).
  • Must be pro-active, self-directed, detail-oriented and organized.
  • Must possess strong inter-personal skills.
  • Must possess capacity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
