Fidelium Consulting works at the intersection of government and industry, providing clients with an agile small business partner for managing high-impact market transformation programs. Through our work in support of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Initiative, we serve at the forefront of the government’s effort to accelerate the adoption of proven energy efficiency and decarbonization practices in buildings and industrial plants.

Sustainability Associate (Multiple Positions)

Preferred Location: Candidates in the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. area.

Responsibilities

Associates will support a range of programmatic, administrative, and technical tasks to ensure the delivery of outstanding project support. Under the supervision of more senior staff, they will gain comprehensive and hands-on experience in the field of sustainability through the following activities:

  • Helping to respond to BBI partner questions and facilitate their engagement.
  • Organizing peer exchange and stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
  • Providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations and effective coordination within the team.
  • Managing programmatic activities, including scheduling, note taking, tracking progress, and drafting follow-ups.
  • Promoting partner and program successes through communication channels.

The Associate will engage daily with a diverse range of stakeholders to shape the delivery of support within and beyond their assigned task area. This will include DOE staff within different offices including BTO, IEDO, and SCEP; National Laboratory experts from NREL, LBNL, ORNL, and PNNL; along with a number of different consultancies.

Qualifications

Required Experience: 

  • Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in energy efficiency or decarbonization, including internships. Adaptability, conscientiousness, and a strong commitment to excellence are essential.

Preferred Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate excels in collaboration within professional settings and demonstrates a strong commitment to outstanding customer service.

Note: In addition to the activities described above, the Associate will contribute to a range of business development activities and operational tasks to help Fidelium Consulting expand our role supporting the clean energy transition.

Expected Salary Range & Benefits:

  • $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
