Solar Technician

Responsibilities

• Adhere to instructions and effectively communicate all updates to the team within specified timelines.
• Participate in regular meetings & maintain communication with office & field managers
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve residential service and warranty related work
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve residential solar warranty and service issues that arise from modules, monitoring, storage and electrical components
• Commissioning of solar systems
• Commissioning of battery systems
• Ability to derate main breaker when needed
• Investigate, mitigate and repair reported roof leaks
• Update CRM system as needed with Service updates
• Assist in training and onboarding of new hires
• Assist with installs, inspections, and site surveys when needed
• Ability to work with technology, gather information, and upload into system
• Operate and maintain company electrical service vehicles and equipment
• Collaborative mindset and effective team player

Qualifications

Requirements:

• 2+ years relative electrical construction and solar experience
• High school diploma
• Strong understanding of NEC codes with emphasis on residential PV installations
• Excellent customer service skills including verbal and written communications
• Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state where the work is to be performed
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal and driving
• Must maintain a clean driving record
• Must be willing to commute to all jobsites in personal vehicle

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to make multiple trips up and down a ladder, daily
• Ability to lift, squat, deadlift, pull and carry up to 50 lbs., daily
• Ability to work at the ground level, kneeling, or bending daily
• Ability to kneel and stand repeatedly on a daily basis
• Ability to work inside an attic and crawlspaces.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud when installation is in process. Employee will be subject to weather conditions, not limited to rain, wind and heat and cold.
• All Employees are required to wear protective equipment (PPE) as assigned by their designated work area.
• All Employees are required to Fall protection while working on the roof or elevated area’s

Compensation

• Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
