Luminate, LLC is a technically based management consultancy providing technical, commercial and environmental advisory services and solutions to the power, energy and renewables markets.  We provide owner's advisory and project development assistance; due diligence and independent engineering in support of financing, mergers & acquisitions, and emerging technologies; optimization and corrective action plans; construction and commissioning monitoring; asset monitoring; environmental management; and conflict and restructuring support to clients across the stakeholder spectrum, including developers, investors, lenders, utilities, and governmental agencies.

We consult on utility-scale fossil gas, oil, and coal-fired generation, renewable and cleantech energy - including biomass, gasification, geothermal, hydro-electric, landfill gas, refuse derived fuel, solar, and wind - commercial and next generation ethanol and biofuels, emerging technologies, electric transmission, gasification, liquefaction, and oil & gas storage and delivery.

Position Overview:

This position requires a blend of technical and business skills, and involves assisting with solar resource assessments, development advisory, due diligence reviews and monitoring of large commercial and utility-scale solar PV and CSP electric power projects.  You will also assist with other types of fossil and renewable energy projects. 

You will work as a team member assisting with analysis and plans related to project development, design, contract development and negotiation, construction, performance testing, operations and maintenance, environmental permitting, and financial pro forma projections.  You will be knowledgeable in aspects of project development, construction, and operations and maintenance, and work with developers, contractors, investors, lenders, governmental agencies and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

This is an office based position with periodic travel, and requires excellent communication and report writing skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in engineering/consulting or development of solar and/or other power generation facilities
  • Minimum BS in engineering
  • Strong technical, analytical, and oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well as a team, independently, and under deadline
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in solar models and MS Office
