Position Overview:
8minutenergy is looking for a Senior Project Manager who demonstrates an advanced mix of skills in energy generator development, project management, and strategic business acumen. The successful candidate's experience in utility scale power generator development will allow his to successfully develop 400 MW of existing projects in various stages plus additional projects from inception to construction.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Manager will work with internal and external teams to advance milestones and complete deliverables such as Land-Use Permits, Interconnection and Transmission Service Agreements, and Purchase Power Agreements. Ideally, the candidate provides key insights relating to PV technology and large-scale design to secure 8minutenergy's energy price leadership.
Qualifications:
The selected candidate will apply solid project management and leadership skills in delivering projects on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction. This candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills to be effective in fostering relationships with partners and utility leaders. The candidate must demonstrate expertise and proven ability in impact analysis, time management, budgeting, risk management and mitigation.
Required qualifications are knowledge of and experience in development of utility scale power generators, conventional or renewable, and a proven track record in project management. Preferably, the candidate has relevant work experience in the solar photovoltaic industry.
Location: Preferred work place for this position is in Sacramento; however 8minutenergy's other office locations in Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area will be considered.
