ANAB Senior Manager of Accreditation: Join our Team and Be a Quality Influencer
We are seeking a technically competent, operationally disciplined, strategically thinking individual to join our team as a Senior Manager of Accreditation with an emphasis on information security, cyber security, digital systems and/or artificial intelligence.
This position is responsible for managing assigned accreditation programs as well as scheme/program owners, clients, assessors, etc. This position will have a significant role and direct impact on the accreditation activities of ANAB-accredited certification bodies. This position can be based out of any ANAB location or Remote (work from home). Overnight travel is required, including both domestic and international travel.
Note: This position requires ample knowledge of information security, cybersecurity and/or digital systems, including artificial intelligence.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. A graduate degree is preferred.
- Five or more years of conformity assessment, standardization, and/or experience in information security, cybersecurity or digital systems. Ten or more years technical experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
- Knowledge in other disciplines (e.g., sustainability, health and safety, quality) to support ANAB accreditation activities
- Experience managing programs with a certification body or accreditation body.
- A range of assessing (or auditing) experience in order to have the necessary breadth of understanding the various applications of the accreditation and certification requirements.
- Proficiency with Windows, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent keyboarding skills.
- Ability to gain an understanding of ANAB’s management systems and associated tools.
- Understanding of the accreditation business, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, etc.
Being a senior accreditation manager involves a blend of skills ranging from project management to communication and analytical abilities. Including, but not limited to:
- Project and Time Management: Ability to plan, execute, and monitor accreditation processes effectively and efficiently in order to meet deadlines, while maintaining relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines governing accreditation processes in your field.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that accreditation processes meet high standards and are conducted impartially.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges that arise during accreditation processes and find effective solutions.
- Leadership: Guiding and motivating teams involved in accreditation processes.
- Attention to Detail: Being meticulous in reviewing documentation and ensuring conformance with accreditation criteria and process.
- Data Analysis and Improvement: Analyzing accreditation data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and conformance issues while seeking opportunities to enhance accreditation processes and outcomes through feedback and evaluation.
- Ethical Conduct: Upholding ethical standards and integrity in accreditation processes.
- Diplomacy: The ability to balance respect, decisiveness, and tact when dealing with others.
- Adaptability: Being able to adapt to changes in accreditation standards, regulations, or processes.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with accreditation processes.
- Documentation Skills: Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of accreditation activities and outcomes.
- Crisis Management: Ability to handle unexpected situations or crises during accreditation processes.
Note: These skills collectively enable a senior accreditation manager to successfully oversee the accreditation process and ensure conformance with standards and regulations while maintaining an expected level of customer service.
