Stand.earth is hiring a passionate senior markets campaigner/analyst to play a lead role in catalyzing action by the IT sector to address the massive climate footprint associated with the manufacturing of our smartphones and other computing devices. Your work will lead to a transformational shift among some of the world’s biggest brands to move their global supply chains away from fossil fuels to renewables, and ultimately to become fossil fuel free.

The Senior Corporate Campaign Specialist will be expected to understand and embrace these concepts and incorporate them into the design and execution of our overall campaign and organizing work.
The Position
Reporting to the Global Climate Campaigns Director, the Senior Corporate Campaign Specialist - Information Technology (IT) Sector position is responsible for leading the our IT sector campaign strategy, supporting issue research, leading corporate negotiations, communicating through traditional and digital channels with key audiences, coordinating with allies, and helping to design creative high-impact actions.
This position will be a senior member of a broader campaign team working to catalyze corporate leadership to drive a rapid transition to renewables across the manufacturing supply chain of both the fashion and IT sectors, two of the largest sources of climate pollution in the world.
This is a full-time position with an excellent package of employee and health benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience and adjusted based on location, but will likely be within the range of $75,000-$90,000 USD. The location for this position is for the time being fully remote in the United States. The role may have the opportunity to shift to one of our hub offices at a later stage.
This position will work closely with the development and digital teams, and must have a strong interest and/or commitment to Stand.earth’s values.
Key Responsibilities
- With direction of our Global Climate Campaigns Director, the successful candidate will help our corporate climate team to develop and implement a strategy to catalyze leading global brands in the IT sector to rapidly transition their supply chain to renewable energy;
- Build and manage relationships with companies, coalition partners, and other industry leaders;
- Develop and support the execution of online and offline tactics and communication strategies that support and achieve campaign goals and objectives;
- Design and support industry and company focused research on the energy transition opportunities in key supply chain countries;
- Serve as one of Stand.earth’s spokespeople on this campaign and help to develop campaign communications strategies and supporting materials;
- Manage relationships with partner organizations and allies and coordinate joint activities and events;
- Participate in and support fundraising activities to fund this campaign;
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of working on environmental or social justice campaigns;
- Direct experience with corporate campaigns is required;
- Experience in negotiating and building relationships in the corporate sector;
- Demonstrated success in developing campaign strategy and identifying effective tactics to achieve campaign goals;
- Clear and deep understanding of the issues and concerns surrounding climate change and the role corporations can play in fueling dirty energy demand or a renewable energy transition;
- Experience developing or analyzing the voluntary reporting of greenhouse gas emissions or energy consumption by corporations or other entities;
- Experience with stakeholder management and developing relationships and trust with partner organizations who work across a diverse range of issues, regions and audiences;
- Demonstrated success in identifying potential funders, developing funding proposals, and building relationships with individual and foundation supporters;
- Top notch writer, editor and communicator; able to adapt your style to work for a variety of audiences, from corporate negotiations to social media;
- Digital and media savvy, able to identify rapid response opportunities and propose smart digital and media tactics to advance campaign objectives;
- Experience working with Indigenous allies and frontline communities are an asset.
