State Parks and Recreation Areas participating in the Adventure Program include:
Baraga, Indian Lake, F.J. McLain, Lake Gogebic, Brimley, Muskallonge Lake, Van
Riper, J.W. Wells, Clear Lake, Interlochen, P.H. Hoeft, S. Higgins Lake, Rifle
River, Albert E. Sleeper, Point Crescent, Tawas Point, Wilderness, Petoskey,
Young, Brighton, Ft. Custer, W.J. Hayes, Holland, Holly, Seven Lakes, Ionia,
Proud Lake, Sleepy Hollow, Metamora-Hadley, Sterling, Muskegon, Pinckney,
Pontiac Lake, Silver Lake, Charles Mears, Van Buren, Warren Dunes, Yankee
Springs and Lakeport.


Seasonal Naturalists (41)


Duties:

Develop/implement naturalist programs for adults and youth
within a Michigan State Park. Responsible for the scheduling and promotion of all
programs.


Qualifications:

Degree work in environmental education, parks, biology, or a
related field. Experience at park, nature center, camp, outdoor education venter,
etc. is recommended. Experience with all age groups, high energy, self-motivated,
ability to work on own a must, strong organizational and communication skills. A
uniform is provided.


Compensation: $290 - $310 per week. Flexible hours, 40 hours per week.


Training dates: May 26 - June 1, 2003. Position term: June 4 - September 3, 2003.


Naturalist Regional Coordinators (5)


Duties:

Oversight of 8-10 Naturalist Staff in the development and
implementation of naturalist programs for adults and youth within the parks. Act as
program support and liaison between Park Supervisor and Naturalist Staff.
Oversee the dissemination of information and equipment.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in environmental education, parks, biology,
education, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of interpretive experiences and
some supervisory experience are helpful. Experience with all age groups, high
energy, self-motivated, ability to work on own a must, strong organizational and
communication skills. A uniform is provided. Travel is required.


Compensation: $350 - $450 per week, flexible hours, 40 hours per week. Position
term: May 22 - September 6, 2003.
