Methow Natives has been propagating native plants and restoring habitat in North Central Washington for the past decade. It currently installs and maintains a number of riparian restoration projects in the Methow watershed benefiting endangered anadromous fish runs. The nursery is located on a family farm that produces a variety of vegetable and meat products.

Winthop,WA is a small mountain town nestled into the North Cascades. It is reknowned for its beauty and offers a vibrant community and incredible recreation opportunities.

Position Overview: 

Methow Natives Nursery is seeking qualified applicants for a restoration technician position for the 2010 field season. Duties are divided between restoration work and nursery management. They include planting, site maintenance, irrigation, weed control, seed collection, propagation and nursery maintenance.

Qualifications: 

Applicants should have a minimum of a bachelors degree in natural sciences and a background in restoration and native plant work. Applicants should demonstrate a solid work ethic, an ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid drivers license required.

Compensation: Salary DOE. Housing is available. Position runs from April 1-Oct 30th 2010.
