NES Ecological Services, A Division of Robert E. Lee & Associates, Inc., is an established natural resources consulting firm located in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area that specializes in wetlands and native habitat restoration.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified Project Manager to design, coordinate and oversee restoration projects throughout Northeast Wisconsin. The successful candidate will also assist with wetland delineations, permit applications, botanical inventories and threatened & endangered species surveys.
Applicants must have experience leading work crews, designing and successfully implementing native restoration plans, possess a vast knowledge of Wisconsin and/or Midwestern flora, demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, and manage a variety of clients including private landowners, municipalities, developers, and non-profit organizations.
Qualifications
- The candidate should possess a B.S. or M.S. in Ecosystem Restoration & Management, Natural Resources, Botany, Environmental Science, Biology with an emphasis in Natural Resources, or related fields.
- Applicants should also have 2-5 years of job-related experience that includes conducting native planting designs and implementations, wetland delineations, botanical surveys, and habitat assessments. Experience writing grants, acquiring work and managing projects is also preferred.
- The candidate must be self-motivated and organized to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner to meet our client’s needs and to ensure budgets are not exceeded.
- Some traveling and long work hours during the field season will be required.
- The candidate must also have experience with Microsoft Office.
- Strong ecological skills, a positive attitude, and good client relations will allow the successful applicant to continue their professional development while restoring native communities.
