Term: Winter/Spring 2005 (4-6 months) Stipend: $440-700/month (25-40 hour weeks) Hours: 9:00-5:30 Location: 1/2 block from Rosslyn Metro Start: ASAP
Small, but dynamic environmental non-profit organization researching and advocating policies to reduce waste and create sustainable communities through recycling, reuse and waste prevention. CRI supports state and nationwide groups formulating policy that holds corporations responsible for their wasteful packaging and serves as a clearinghouse for information on container deposit systems.
Internship Qualifications:
Strong communication and writing skills, good research and analytical skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office (with particular proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint), and commitment to principles of environmental sustainability are a must. Interest in packaging issues and/or recycling a plus.
Internship Description:
Assist with research and writing for newsletter and other publications; conduct legislative and statistical research and analysis; develop website content and presentation materials; help with some general administrative tasks. As an integral part of a small team, you will be able to see the direct impact of your work.
