Description
Duties:
The International Development Department of the School of Public Policy at
the University of Birmingham requires a Research Associate to undertake
research on water liberalisation scenarios in the EU, as a member of a
European-wide research team on the EUROMARKET European Community
Research Project. The work will involve data collection, interviewing, report
writing and presentation of research findings. The post would be suitable for
candidates wishing to undertake doctoral research on the changing institutional
arrangements for water supply and sanitation, including private sector
participation. This post is on a three year fixed term contract.
Qualifications:
You will have a good first degree in a relevant subject, demonstrate
competence in the institutional aspects of the water sector and have sound
research and analytical skills. In addition,you should have excellent IT skills
and experience of report writing. European language skills (particularly
French) are desirable.
