Temporary free-lance position available at Consumers Union, publisher of Consumer Reports Magazine and ConsumerReports.org.
Duration: up to 6 months
High level administrative support and investigative research for policy work on a broad range of environmental issues including international food safety issues, waste, toxics, energy and global warming. Candidate will assist with the development of a website to aid consumers in making environmentally sustainable purchasing decisions and in reducing environmental impacts associated with the use of the products they choose.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- minimum of an undergraduate degree in environmental sciences, public policy or related fields (preferred),
- proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Powerpoint
- excellent research and writing skills - meticulous planning and organization skills; attention to detail.
Compensation: commensurate with experience
