Position Overview

We are a forward-thinking renewable energy company that is looking to hire an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media websites.

As a media and marketing intern, you’ll join a fast-paced work environment and will help craft the voice of our growing brand and digital brand awareness through social media. We’re offering guidance, support, and opportunity for our intern to gain valuable work experience. 

This is a 3 months-long position that works 15 hours a week, 3 hours a day. Times are flexible.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/manage social media and website content.
• Post regularly on all social media accounts, and assist with following up on various pages for comments, inquires, and tracking insights.
• Assist our media and marketing team with developing content strategies.
• Internet research to find and engage with social media communities and present new marketing ideas/suggestions.

Qualifications

• Passionate about keeping up with the latest trends and technology in the renewable energy industry.
• Must be able to demonstrate interests/knowledge for social media or website content by providing 1-2 links to either a social media page or writing samples.
• Creative and critical thinking is required for this position.
• Experience with graphic design applications such as Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Fireworks, Dreamweaver) and website coding experience is a plus!

Requirements:

• Must have an interest in learning about clean energy and a sustainable future.
• A college student majoring in either communications, journalism, marketing, or public relations.
• 1-year experience using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) or 1 year of writing experience (Blogging, Content Creation).
