Position Overview
The Promotions Marketing Manager at Organic Valley is the lead for driving highly creative, winning consumer promotions that can extend across shopper marketing, packaging, PR, events, and digital.
This includes branded in-store programs in CPG channels, sweepstakes/contests, coupon programs, key account shopper marketing programs, and sponsorships that define originality and executional excellence, drive Organic Valley, Organic Prairie, Kingdom Cheddar, and Stonyfield brands and customer growth, and deliver real results.
This person will develop the vision, scope, structure, and take the lead on consumer promotions that meet today's needs while anticipating future requirements of our fast-growing, competitive business.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and develop annual consumer promotional plans in collaboration with the overall Marketing team (Brand, Shopper, Public Relations, Farmers in Marketing, Events, etc.), and agency teams that deliver against brand objectives on-time and on-budget;
- Ideate and develop consumer promotions partnerships with outside organizations and non-competing mission-aligned CPG and lifestyle brands that build incremental sales and equity for our brands;
- Manage the internal Shopper Marketing team and ensure integration with promotional opportunities;
- Lead the strategy and management of the coop's coupon program;
- Infuse consumer and shopper insights into promotional planning, creating connectivity between the shopper and consumer promotion activations;
- Lead agency teams and vendors to deliver strategy and promotional plans per contractual obligations and on-budget;
- Develop, maintain, and communicate processes to facilitate effective management of consumer promotions project timelines in coordination with Creative/Print Production, Legal and other departments to deliver against goals;
- Track, measure and report the results of consumer promotions, and support brand managers in forecasting and assessing post-event ROIs;
- Develop KPIs and analyze results for promotional programs to provide expert consultation to brand managers and other members of the Marketing and Sales teams; maintain an archive of past promotion and program results to guide future decisions and forecasts;
- Report on competitive consumer promotion activity and implications for focus brands and products;
- Develop and maintain a ‘test and learn' portfolio of opportunities for new promotional initiatives that constantly challenge the team to push the boundaries on promotional tactics, including digital / mobile trends;
- Communicate performance expectations by evaluating performance, providing timely feedback, training and coaching, and recommending personnel actions for assigned staff; and
- Ensure compliance with policies, safety procedures, and fair employment practices.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Undergraduate degree in Business or Marketing (preferred)
- 8-10 years of Consumer Promotions and Marketing/Cross-Functional rotation in a managerial role
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team, and effectively manage and coach people
- Experience in the CPG industry either on the client or agency side, food preferred
- Experience in Organic/Natural industry a plus
- Experience with traditional as well as digital/social and emerging promotional tactics
- Exceptional computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), presentation development
- Financial / Budgeting experience
- Analytical skills; ability to analyze data and draw conclusions that drive efficiency/effectiveness
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Excellent communications skills -- written, oral, email, presentations
