Community Rebuilds' mission is to build energy-efficient housing, provide education on sustainability, and improve the housing conditions of the workforce through an affordable program.

Community Rebuilds is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for affordable and sustainable housing. The Project Manager Apprentice will work to contribute to the housing and climate crisis by assisting the Construction Manager in organization and facilitation of building projects on site and in the office.

The Project Manager Apprentice will work under the supervision of the Construction Manager and Administration team. The responsibilities and benefits are as follows:

General Responsibilities:

  • Perform 1700 hours of service between [start date] and [end date]
  • Attend AmeriCorps Orientation and meetings
  • Participate in AmeriCorps and Community Rebuilds events and community projects

Assignment Responsibilities:

  • Organize and process project documents
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks
  • Obtain bids and documents from sub-contractors
  • Create project timelines, budgets, and materials takeoffs
  • Attend project meetings when necessary
  • Assist with messaging participants
  • Assist other team members with programs, events, or office tasks as needed

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Living Stipend $1,558 paid monthly ($18,700/service year)
  • Education Award Upon Completion - $7,395* which can be used towards vocational training programs like
  • Yestermorrow or towards existing student loans.
  • 3 weeks variable time off, plus all federal holidays, and 4 weeks of site closures.**

Note: Total education award subject to change dependent on previously worked Americorps terms and total term length - based on 40 hour work week (plus 30 minute unpaid lunch). Total time off may vary.
