Interested in building an innovative program from the ground-up? Bard's MBA in Sustainability is one of a handful of programs globally that fully integrate the study of business and sustainability. Our curriculum ensures that students master the business case for sustainability, understanding how to align profit with ecological and social mission. The curriculum is organized around weekend-intensive residencies in New York City, supplemented by regular online instruction.
Position Overview:
After enrolling our inaugural class in Fall 2012, we are seeking a Program Associate to join our growing team. This position is based at our Hudson Valley campus in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY, with overnight travel to New York City one extended (4-day) weekend per month.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Program Associate's responsibilities will include:
Program Management
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, the Program Associate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program including:
- Budget management and basic accounting
- Student Services including enrollment support, grade submission, and responding to student inquiries
- Liaising with other Departments on the Bard Campus (student accounts, health services, etc.)
Event Coordination and Management
Planning and execution of various program-related events including:
- Creating monthly class schedules
- Managing logistics in-person at NYC-based and Bard classes during monthly Residencies
- Arranging travel and lodging for Faculty and guest lecturers
- Planning and coordinating other program meetings including faculty retreats, curricular design charrettes, and advisory board meetings
Administrative
- Order course materials
- Manage Academic Calendar and Assistant Director's calendar
- Assisting Faculty with administrative matters
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, with 1 year of professional work experience
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Proactive with ability to self-manage
- Professional demeanor
