Job Summary:

The Production Technician position is responsible for equipment assembly, testing, and inventory to support field operations. Using strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, the Production Technician plays an essential role in supporting our field operations team to perform safe and effective work. In collaboration with their manager, they will put safety first, maintain a clean and organized shop, and have a passion for living our values: Respect, Agility, and Follow-Through.  

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and bench test equipment and assets for release to field teams
  • Clean, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair assets returned from the field including troubleshooting and maintenance on 12-volt power systems
  • Load and unload equipment from delivery trucks and company fleet vehicles
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing inventory and control inventory levels by conducting physical counts as directed
  • Verify shipment details, assist with packaging items, move inventory to designated areas
  • Safely operate a forklift to move and organize inventory
  • Work closely on assigned projects and initiatives with Production Manager and Project Coordinator(s)
  • Inspect quality and quantity of inventory and escalate missing or defective equipment for immediate replacement
  • Operate warehouse equipment and machinery safely
  • Operate wide variety of basic hand and power tools safely to replace batteries, circuit boards, and sensors
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and shop space
  • Ensure warehouse and yard is properly organized and secured
  • Conduct maintenance repairs on company equipment
  • Build and maintain strong relationships, demonstrating a commitment to our core values of Respect, Agility, and Follow-Through.  

Required Skills/Abilities:  

  • Ability to work across several software and computer programs including, but not limited to: Microsoft 365, Slack, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to perform electro/mechanical assembly
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery including a forklift
  • Experience with low voltage power systems and troubleshooting preferred
  • Safety oriented
  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills 
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment
  • High level of integrity and dependability 
  • Positive attitude and willing to collaborate with others, exercising strong teamwork skills

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Forklift operation experience and certification preferred 
  • Renewable energy industry experience preferred

  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds frequently
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to perform manual labor safely 
  • Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day

Compensation:

Work Location:

  • Shops in Niwot, CO and Longmont, CO. This position is mainly based out of Longmont. Must be able to commute daily M-F.
