Transform Solar, a joint venture between Micron Technology, Inc and Origin Energy Limited, will focus on developing and manufacturing photovoltaic energy technology. This new company is currently looking for an experienced Production Operator. 

Position Overview:

This position will play a key role on the Transform Solar Sub Assembly Production Team. As a Sub Assembly Production Operator, you will be working in a factory "start up" environment and responsible for numerous diverse activities associated with short term and long term production.

Responsibilities:

As a Production Operator in the Sub-Assembly department at Transform Solar, you will be responsible for processing quality product using area tools and processes while following safety procedures and specifications. Additional duties include and are not limited to:

  • maintaining certification on basic safety-related processes and tool operation specs,
  • keep machines running using the proper scheduling tools,
  • perform some preventative maintenance on the equipment,
  • and provide comprehensive passdowns.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • wearing proper attire, which includes a smock, safety glasses, gloves, hair net, a beard cover (if necessary), and personal protective equipment, which may include a chemical-face shield.
  • You will work to ensure safe and environmentally sound work behaviors, ensuring proper knowledge and competency in order to support Nampa Sub Assembly Operations objectives, adherence to company policies and compliance to established safety and operational procedures.
  • This position requires a person with a positive "can-do" attitude and proven track record in establishing and evolving a company culture regarding Safety, Quality, Cost Optimization and a Fun team oriented environment that is consistent with "Best in Class" production operations worldwide.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this position will:

  • Be committed to sustaining a safe work environment.
  • Be self motivated and detail oriented.
  • Have the ability to move product when completing tasks such as loading and unloading machines or placing product on transport carts.
  • Display a high level of comfort moving transport carts with product to and from various production areas.
  • Display a high level of comfort wearing personal protective equipment when required.
  • Have the ability to operate numerous PC-based programs that require the use of a keyboard or touch screen.
  • Have the ability to fully participate and contribute to a team atmosphere.
  • Have the ability to make contributions to the overall effort required to meet weekly production goals, this includes providing and being involved in continuous improvement ideas or projects.
  • Have the ability to adhere to Transform Solar's policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have the ability to effectively monitor product and communicate needs to area leadership.
  • Display proficiency with basic Math and Computer skills (Excel, Word, Windows) required.
  • Have excellent organizational skills.
  • Be able to apply critical thinking skills.
  • Have the ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks.
  • Possess prior manufacturing experience (Assembly or Fab experience preferred).
  • Be shift flexible (including nights and weekends).  Must be able to work 12 hr shifts.
  • Be committed to ongoing personal development by meeting individual training goals taking required classes and passing certifications.
  • This position reports to the Nampa Site Operations Shift Supervisor.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Employee must be able to lift 55 pounds, using proper lifting techniques as defined by our safety policy.

Required Skills:

  • Prior manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
