Position Overview
Sales Director (SD) position reports to Senior Vice President of Sales (SVP) and is responsible for executing plans and objectives as developed by Pacifica. Sales Director serves two key functions; one as primary contact and liaison for Pacifica's Broker Network, educating and supporting Multi-line Sales Representatives to generate revenue in a defined territory and second, as a Account Manager on Pacifica's enterprise accounts.
Responsibilities
Accountabilities will include:
- Drive business - Works to implement and execute the company sales plan, and is responsible for leveraging sales assets to drive and grow net/new sales
- Management of retail partners - Understands each retail partner's business strategies and supporting activities required to grow business within existing accounts. The SD drives activities in their territory and manages issues as they relate to lack of execution and sales productivity
- Management of Broker Relationships - The SD works directly with Broker Network Principles and Sales Representatives to ensure
- Education for each Sales Representative is initially completed and ongoing maintained providing all tools necessary to succeed selling Pacifica within a multi-line sales environment
- Sales Goals and Performance is communicated monthly to support Pacifica's overall goals
- Guidance via Broker Principles and Sales Rep to make necessary corrections as need to ensure sales goals are met
- Ongoing support through Pacifica's Customer Service Team as well as directly to Sales Reps and Broker Principles as need to ensure success
- Enterprise Account Management - The SD will maintain direct account responsibilities for certain Pacifica "house" accounts as designated by the SVP
- Interdepartmental Leadership - The SD will work closely and remain in daily contact with Pacifica's Customer service team to ensure all aspects of business are being maintained
Qualifications
Necessary Skill Set:
- College Degree
- A proven track record of 10+ years of successful sales management, preferably managing a field sales team
- Experience in the consumer products industry, preferably Natural products - Cosmetics experience a plus
- The ability to negotiate directly with retail partners or through Broker partners
- Problem solver given specific parameters
- A strong desire for results
- An ability to communicate with people at all levels both inside and outside the organization
- The ability to see the big picture and translate Pacifica's strategy to others
- Experience using Microsoft Office
Personal Requirements:
- Travel up to 50% both via car and air
- Overnight travel is required
- Non-traditional work hours as necessary
- Ability to support Pacifica's Retailer partners requiring weekend event participation several times a year
