We inform people's choices, organize consumer collective action, and bring together businesses and other stakeholders to achieve system-wide change.  

Position Overview 

If you have skills in online communications and simple web development or web production platforms, and you want to make a difference in the world, this is the internship for you.

We seek someone to work with our Communications Team to engage and educate consumers online by producing website and email content, and assisting our Online Communications Manager with our overall online communications.

This position provides an excellent career-building opportunity, especially for someone wanting to develop their experience in online communications, web content production, frontend web development, online marketing, and advocacy. Some of the job responsibilities can be flexible depending on candidate's skills and desires. 

This is a 16 hours per-week position within a Mon-Thurs business hours schedule, and reports to our Online Communications Manager.  

Responsibilities 

  • Put up and maintain content on Green America's multiple websites including articles, blog posts, campaign materials, news
  • Help team members write and produce regular email newsletters
  • Design and develop engaging graphics for online 
  • Assist with Google Adwords
  • Optimize web content for search engines to increase website traffic  

Qualifications 

  • Experience with email marketing and website platforms
  • Great attention to detail
  • Basic HTML and CSS skills
  • Some graphic design skills preferred
  • Experience juggling multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Comfort working independently in a collaborative environment where creativity is encouraged
  • Passion for Green America's mission and values preferred 
Compensation: Unpaid, though course credit is possible.
