Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Lecturer/ Assistant Lecturer in Renewable Energy at the University of the West Indies.
Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will teach courses in Renewable Energy Resources as well as develop and teach courses in their specific area of expertise. Preference will be given to applicants whose area of specialisation is of particular relevance to the Caribbean, such as solar, wind, geothermal or wave energy technologies or future fuel research.
The appointee will be expected to develop collaborative teaching and research within the Faculty and should possess university, or other tertiary level, teaching and research experience in Renewable Energy Technologies, and evidence of publication. He/She will be expected to develop an active research programme of relevance to the region, and supervise graduate students registered for M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees. There will also be the opportunity to develop advanced level or postgraduate courses in areas of special expertise.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant should possess a first degree and PhD in Engineering, Physics or a related science.
The successful applicant will be expected to assume duties as soon as possible.
