Description
The Dennis Conservation Land Trust is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization that seeks to preserve open space within the Town of Dennis. Since its establishment in 1988, the Trust has acquired ownership of 394 acres of diverse land types, including uplands, wetlands and beachfront. The Trust also holds perpetual conservation restrictions on another 217 acres.
Position Overview
The Land Manager is responsible for developing and achieving goals for land stewardship, and lead in the management of the DCLT's 650 acres with direction from the Executive Director, and in consultation with the Board of Trustees' Land Committee.
- The Land Manager also recruits and oversees the DCLT's Land Stewardship Volunteer Program and run trainings and recognition events for volunteers.
- In addition the Land Manager assists the Executive Director with outreach to members, donors, local and regional nonprofits, and schools (K-12).
- Outreach activities include walks/talks, webinars, social media/eBlasts, newsletters, brochures and other publications.
