RMI's in-house Communications Department is seeking a highly-organized and self-motivated individual whose interest in graphic design is paralleled with an interest in creating a more sustainable future for our planet. Qualified candidates should be interested in issues related to recycled paper sourcing, web site management, corporate identity, and information design. Other areas of interest may include multimedia presentation techniques, photo archiving and text-recognition scan output. This is a 2 month internship and starts July 1, 2002. Benefits include a salary, lodging, and lunches.
Background Information:
The John and Mary Frantz Internship is supported with generous gifts in memory of Margaret Frantz, by her parents, John and Mary. Margaret was active in Boulder Ecocycle and lived her life as an example of minimal consumption. After a six month battle with lymphoma, she died in 1989.
Responsibilities:
Support production needs of Graphic Designer and Webmaster.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) the following software applications: Quark XPress, Illustrator, Photoshop, GoLive, MS Word, Macromedia Flash, MS PowerPoint;
Prior experience in a multi-player, fast-paced creative environment is a plus.
