The Sustainability Accounting Standards BoardTM (SASBTM) is a non-profit organization engaged in the development and dissemination of industry-specific sustainability accounting standards.
SASB is establishing an understanding of material sustainability issues facing industries and creating sustainability accounting standards suitable for disclosure in standard filings such as the Form 10-K and 20-F.
SASB addresses the unique needs of the U.S. market, establishing standards for integrated reporting that are concise, comparable within an industry, and relevant to all ~13,000 publicly listed companies in the U.S.
Position Overview:
The IT Administrator will support SASB in its rapid growth of staff and IT systems and will lead SASB technology adoption and implementation to support organizational operations and processes.
The highest priority skillset is advanced Saleforce.com administration, but this is a unique position in that we require a variety of other IT related skills: PC imaging, software support, remote administration, pushing updates, systems admin (MS Exchange, MS SharePoint), intermediate to advanced web programming skills (HTML, etc.), basic network skills (IP protocol), SIP, familiarity with ecommerce solutions such as Magento, registration and payment gateways such as CVENT (signing up and paying for webinars/workshops), enterprise collaboration tools and with a variety of desktop and web-based software.
The IT Administrator will support and serve as a consultant to all of our teams, leading the planning and coordination of IT to support strategic objectives, and driving the execution of IT initiatives in support of our business lines: Research, Education and Certification, Stakeholder Engagement, Fundraising, and a small portfolio of revenue generating products/services. SASB currently has 15 employees with plans to grow to 27 by yearend.
More strategically, the IT Administrator will help architect future IT systems, for both internal and external use (for example a publicly accessible research database). The ideal candidate will proactively identify ways to increase efficiency, enhance operational excellence and drive adoption of our standards and sales of our products/services through effective IT solutions.
Existing IT desktop and web-based software includes: Salesforce (Admin experience required), Microsoft Windows 7 & 8, Office 2013, Symantec, MozyPro, GoToMeeting, RingCentral Softphone, Dropbox, SkyDrive, Podio, MS Access, Bloomberg Professional, Skype, MS Lync, iContact, Cvent.
Existing hardware: the majority of PCs are Dell XPS 13 laptops though there are a few MacBook Pros. We also have Dell monitors and Brother Printer. All server software is currently hosted in the cloud, so at this point administration is limited to the software only.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with excellent technical and execution experience to take on significant responsibility at a growing organization.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- Take ownership of our existing Salesforce.com architecture. Develop and customize Salesforce as required, including custom fields, dashboards and reports.
- Clearly articulate and lead SASB's use of Salesforce, ensuring we're getting the most out of the software.
- Work with management, strategic planning & analysis staff and end-users to create and manage complex workflow rules, data validation, and triggers.
- Integrate Salesforce.com with other applications while ensuring a simplified and effective end-user interface for both our customers and internally. Identify and implement best Outlook + Salesforce integration solution.
- Identify and work with outside vendors to coordinate and manage the scope, timing and delivery of multiple small to medium-scale projects to achieve desired organizational goals and benefits. Ensure timely delivery and in-line with specifications. Serve as our internal lead managing all outside IT vendors and their projects.
- Create and document application requirements by working together with those involved in the development of program enhancements and changes including staff and/or outside consultants as needed.
- Manage the software testing process, which includes devising test plans, creating test cases, establishing protocols and appropriate testing environments and coordinating actual software testing.
- Keeping abreast of new Salesforce features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Train new and existing users on how to use Salesforce and other applications.
- Keep users informed about system functionality and enhancements.
- Provide day-to-day technology support of employee computers and phone systems, as well as during new employee on-boarding or employee exiting.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Salesforce Admin experience.
- Required - Salesforce Advanced Admin 211.
- Preferred - Salesforce 401 Certified.
- Experience supporting software, hardware, IP network, and web programming (HTML, CSS, and others).
- Great attention to detail.

- Ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 plus years' experience in an IT-related role.
- Demonstrated successful project management skills.
- An interest in corporate sustainability is a plus.
- BA (required).
- Excellent communication skills and service-orientation to work with understand, gain feedback from and deliver top-notch solutions to the multiple business lines.
- Adept at "managing up" by communicating project milestones, progress towards those milestones, as well as challenges and alternative solutions.
- Ability to "see the big picture" and suggest how business lines can leverage better utilize existing and/or proposed IT solutions, platforms and processes.
- Experience with Bloomberg Terminals a plus.
- High energy level with a sense of urgency and a results-oriented approach.
