International Campaigns Director

Humane Society International, the international arm of The Humane Society of the United States is seeking an International Campaigns Director to initiate campaign strategies and create and carry out international campaigns for Humane Society International.

Specific duties include acting as a liaison to the domestic campaign efforts for fur, trophy hunting, anti-cruelty, etc.; managing the preparation of educational, media, marketing, and other promotional outreach information for international campaigns; managing outreach efforts to international and non-American NGOs regarding international campaigns; attending conferences, including speaking engagements to promote international campaigns and managing department's strategic planning efforts.

This position requires a bachelor's degree; four to six years experience in a similar capacity; strong advocacy, campaigning and persuasion skills; supervisory experience; coalition building experience, preferably on international level and/or animal welfare related; experience managing international campaigns, media and outreach. You must also possess fundraising knowledge as well as strong verbal and written communications skills. Foreign language skills are highly desirable.
