Appliance Energy Policy is Kannah's primary area of
practice. We develop new appliance energy performance policies that
cost-effectively save citizens money and reduce carbon emissions. We identify
new energy savings opportunities, conduct market and technical research to
develop energy use requirements and test procedures, and provide expert
testimony to support policy adoption.

Internship Overview

Kannah Consulting is excited to offer a summer internship opportunity in the area of Energy Efficiency Research and Sustainable Business in its Grand Junction, Colorado office.

The position is full time at 32 to 35 hours per week. The length of internship is negotiable between 10 and 14 weeks and pay is between $15 and $20 per hour, depending on education level, skills and experience. 

Responsibilities 

  • As an intern, you will conduct energy efficiency research and develop policy for clients as well as shape Kannah's sustainable business practices.
  • You will directly support clients in appliance energy performance research and policy development, including analyzing technical and market data, writing reports, and preparing presentations.
  • In addition, you will support Kannah in its development of sustainable business policies that practices to further enable the company to follow through on its commitment to support its employees, the environment and the community. 

Qualifications 

  • This paid internship is open to a current student or a recent graduate with a major in engineering, physics, or related discipline with good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Prior research experience, including thesis or other capstone project are a plus.
