Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory Consultant to join our team as a full-time employee or as a project-based independent contractor. This position will work with our professional services team to perform carbon accounting/greenhouse gas inventory analysis for our clients. The position will be involved in all aspects of GHG consulting (including goal setting, scoping, client management, data collection/management, carbon analysis, and reporting).
While we are ideally looking for someone local to the Boulder, Colorado area who can work in-house during normal business hours, we are flexible and open to telecommuting arrangements.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Experience and/or certification in performing greenhouse gas inventories in accordance with the WRI GHG Protocol, or other leading protocols including Climate Leaders or Climate Registry.
- Project and client management experience performing fixed-price contract work for services.
Optional/Desired:
- Experience performing product-level life cycle assessments.
- Air quality management experience including clean air act compliance, emissions inventories, Title V compliance, inventory management plans, QA/QC and other relevant skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001.
- Ability to perform complex calculations, data analysis, and project management.
- Engineering experience implementing cost and energy savings solutions to clients.
Experience:
We are looking for a mid-to-senior level candidate with minimum of 3-5 years of career experience performing GHG inventories or graduate-level education in GHG management with relevant career experience. Certification as a GHG Quantifier desirable. Candidate must be a team player, have strong written and verbal communications skills, and maintain ability to work independently toward a goal. Candidate must have ability to work with client to understand goals, present solutions, estimate costs, and develop professional proposals and solutions on time and budget.
Compensation: Position will begin immediately. Total compensation is dependent upon experience and will include base salary, benefits, bonus potential, and incentives.
