Position Overview:
The Green Solutions and Services Manager is responsible for leading Van Meter Industrial (VMI) into the emerging green solutions and services market. This role will coordinate all the green products and solutions within VMI to expand our service and product offering to our internal and external customers.
This position manages the development, launch, and continued growth of this initiative to position VMI as the leading, comprehensive resource for green solutions and savings in our market in order to increase our value proposition and to grow sales and gross profit.
The initial focus of the role will be to create a comprehensive approach to energy efficiency within our customer's facilities and locations. Following the first stages of the deployment, the Green Solutions and Services Manager will then determine the next best course of action to further drive the green services and solutions strategy for VMI.
Responsibilities:
- Overall coordination, management, and direction of the Green Services and Solutions strategy and team
- Build and manage successful teams through a servant leadership approach, coaching and mentoring
- Develop and deploy Green Solutions and Services strategy and business plan
- Define organization structure; select and develop team members to execute the strategy and plan
- Collaborate with Human Resources to facilitate all important HR functions
- Integrate green and energy efficient services and solutions with other product lines and services within VMI
- Research and qualify sub contractors or strategic partners
- Develop professional and beneficial relationships with supplier partners and energy providers
- Research new products prior to market launch
- Collaborate with Pricing team to set price structures for products and services
- Collaborate with Marketing department to design marketing strategy; market and channel research, collateral, promotions and website research
- Educate and train VMI employees on green and energy efficient solutions and services
- Sell green and energy efficient solutions and services to our internal and external customers
- Grow market share and ensure profitability and value of Green Services and Solutions functions

- 4 year college degree
- Previous leadership experience required

- Ability to manage multi-functional projects
- Keen understanding of technology and technology impacts on the Green market
- Exposure to Green solutions and / or energy efficiency initiatives preferred
- Travel may be required for support of customer needs
