Biohabitats, a leading ecological restoration design firm, is looking for an Environmental Scientist or Ecologist to join our dynamic team. We are looking for individuals with strong technical skills matched with excellent communication skills that are committed to the environment. Applicants should possess at least 5 years professional experience in ecological assessment, planning, and design for wetlands mitigation, stream restoration, and forest conservation. Successful applicants must demonstrate a history of effective project and client management and be organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
Specific responsibilities include:
? Wetlands delineation;
? Water quality assessment;
? Stream channel assessment;
? Aquatic habitat assessment;
? Stream restoration design;
? Riparian reforestation; and
? Landscape management.
Requirements:
? M.S. in environmental science, natural resources, landscape architecture, or civil engineering;
? 5+ years of experience in environmental planning or the preparation of design and construction packages for restoration/mitigation projects;
? Strong written and oral communication skills; and
? Client-centered focus; and
? Strong environmental ethic.
