Stratus Consulting offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary expertise in environmental sciences and natural resources, environmental economics, information management, and climate change management. Stratus Consulting serves federal, state, tribal, and international government agencies, as well as utilities, industries, and law firms. Stratus Consulting is a privately held company with offices in Boulder, CO and Washington, DC.
Position Overview:
Stratus Consulting has an immediate opening for an Environmental Scientist in our Boulder, CO office. Responsibilities will include working on ecological risk/NRDA injury assessments, fate/transport modeling, laboratory and field studies, managing and analyzing scientific data, scientific literature reviews, and report writing.
Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will hold an MS in environmental toxicology, chemistry, ecology, environmental engineering, or a related field plus at least 2 years of directly relevant, non-academic, applied experience.
- Personal initiative, a flexible attitude, and the ability to multi-task and work with shifting deadlines
- Proven commitment to quality control
- Excellent communication and language skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and database programs
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- Occasional travel may be required
