Description:
We are seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist for our Haddam, Connecticut office. A minimum BS/BA in Environmental Science or a related discipline and three to four years experience in site characterization, phase I - III environmental site assessments, subcontractor oversight (drilling, soil excavation, remediation construction), and knowledge of Connecticut RSRs.
Duties will include:
* Site assessment and investigations
* Preparation of regulatory submittals and technical reports
* Site remediation oversight
* Data management
* Project coordination, oversight and management of field staff and subcontractors in conjunction with supervisory responsibilities.
In addition, experience in remedial design, construction and bid specifications, remedial system installation and O&M, pilot/slug testing and data collection, lab data reduction and compilation is sought for this position.
Task management, organizational skills, good communication, and the ability to work under deadlines are a must.
Experience with the preparation of Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection submittals and certification or licensing in related discipline(s) (e.g. asbestos sampling) are a definite plus.
