The programs we design, plan, implement and evaluate operate at all levels of the market-from the manufacture of energy-efficient products to the distribution and sale to consumers.

Our clients include scores of utilities across the country. We also provide custom-designed training programs that motivate personnel, improve sales and encourage energy conservation.

General Responsibilities:

The general responsibilities for this position include: representing APT and its clients in a professional and responsible manner; supporting, coordinating, and documenting field services cost-effectively and efficiently; ensuring the enthusiastic participation of dealers and distributors; maintaining detailed records; working within a team environment and adhering to APT and utility protocols, procedures and policies. 

Specific/Short Term Responsibilities:

  • Field Support:  Make sure field representatives are notified of all new projects, incentives, and program changes. Verify their knowledge of the program and their effectiveness in the field.  Provide informational and personal support. 
  • Review and edit site visit reports: Read, assess and analyze field representatives' site visit reports; synthesize information and trends for Manager. Prioritize action items.
  • Prepare monthly and yearly progress reports
  • Generate specific data reports: gather, review data, and submit reports to manager
  • Communicate with utilities, dealerships and other APT personnel to ensure that client's needs are met and that all objectives are satisfied
  • Research the Industry: get up-to-date news on retailers, manufacturers, government organizations, etc.; pass information on to Manager and field staff
  • Attend APT staff meetings and report on projects and customer service efforts
  • Perform other support duties as requested
  • Peform all duties of the Program Manager in his/her absence.

Human Resource Responsibilities:

  • Monitor field rep schedules, daily submissions and payroll for adherence to policy, logic and appropriateness to current priorities
  • Maintain timely records on various personnel activities as required
  • Facilitate training of new employees to ensure they understand and adhere to APT philosophies, policies, procedures, and regulations from the federal, state, and local authorities
  • Facilitate high levels of communication and coordination - keep a happy, effective work environment

Qualifications:

Program coordinator must communicate comfortably and effectively with utilities, manufacturers, retail partners, and field staff.  Must punctually draft and edit professional documents and e-mails.  Must remain consistently updated on program details and progress and manage numerous administrative tasks efficiently.

Experience & Skills

  • Interest in conservation and energy efficiency
  • Experience in sales, customer service, or related industry
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal & written
  • IT experience: Solid Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent training/ presentation skills
  • Experience with energy efficient lighting or appliances a plus but not required
