Gridium is a young, venture-backed start-up aiming to remove barriers to energy efficiency by bringing low-cost analytic tools to the wealth of data made available by smart meters. Our goal is to help commercial energy managers save energy, reduce costs, and improve the operation of their buildings by unlocking the insights in their utility data.
Position Overview:
Gridium is looking for Energy Analysts to assist with delivery of energy reports to customers. The person in this role will work with smart meter data from commercial buildings to deliver operational insights and energy savings.
This is an hourly part-time position requiring 3-4 hours of work on Sundays. The job is structured to fit well with other obligations, including employment or academic work. It is perfect either for people already in the energy efficiency industry looking for an additional challenge, or for newcomers to the energy field looking to gain experience.
Energy Analysts can work from anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Energy analysts work with Gridium's Snapmeter product to help commercial building managers forecast and manage energy demand.
- Analysts also learn how to review energy load charts to diagnose a wide range of operational issues.
- A typical work session requires reviewing and evaluating energy data from approximately 50 buildings. If you have a passion for energy efficiency and enjoy detail-oriented work, you will thrive in this role.
Qualifications:
The position requires:
- Strong analytic skills, close attention to detail, the ability to work quickly and proficiently, and Solid writing skills.
- We provide full training for the position. Although a background in energy or building management is extremely helpful, it is not required.
- At the very least, we like to see a demonstrated facility with technical concepts via coursework in physical sciences or engineering.
