Ecological Restoration Design

Biohabitats, Inc., a nationally recognized ecological restoration design firm, offers 4-12 week internships to college students and college graduates interested in ecological restoration planning, assessment, and design. We seek applicants who are committed to the environment and energetic, creative, and enthusiastic about ecological restoration.

Interns will have the opportunity to work with our environmental scientists and land planners on a variety of restoration projects. Responsibilities will include assisting with field investigations, research, design, construction inspection, and monitoring. Each intern will also be assigned 2-3 office projects during their tenure and will be given the opportunity to work for one week on the installation of an ecological restoration project with our sister construction firm, Ecological Restoration and Management, Inc. Interns will be expected to give a lunchtime seminar on a specific ecological restoration topic of their choice.

Interns will be compensated at $8.00/hour. We strive to give our interns an experience that will prepare them for employment in the ecological restoration field.

Internships are available for the following terms:

Spring (Jan/Feb - Apr/May)
Summer (Jun - Aug)
Fall (Sep - Dec)
Holiday Break (Dec/Jan)

These dates are flexible. We accept applications throughout the year for all semesters. Applicants must be available for an interview prior to selection.
