Director of Marketing

Position Overview

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Marketing will take full responsibility for development and execution of a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet aggressive revenue goals. 

Qualified applicants will be savvy, energetic, and proven businesspeople dedicated to triple-bottom-line returns.  The role will entail deployment of a six-figure budget, management of staff and vendors, and close work with the website development unit.   As a member of the team, the Director of Marketing will be expected to contribute to a wide range of strategic and tactical challenges as well as to the demanding and unpredictable work of growing a start-up.

Responsibilities include:

• Search engine marketing
• Search engine optimization
• Email and affiliate marketing and landing page optimization
• Optimization of all campaigns towards CPA goals
• Extremely comfortable with market research and marketing metrics
• Pricing strategy

Our ideal Director of Marketing will have:

• BS/BA degree
• 5+ years relevant experience
• Exceptional listening, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Good sense of design/interested in building brand awareness
• An interest in sustainable business
• The ability to thrive in the fast paced, often chaotic environment of a startup
• Graduate or professional education in business or other applicable disciplines a plus
