Postion Overview
The Corporate Communications team helps drive Intuit's business priorities by creating a high-performing organization, engaged employees, lots of delighted customers, and a valued stock price for shareholders. This includes, Public Relations-Corporate Communications, Employee Communications and Industry Analyst Relations.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead Intuit's global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, helping drive the CSR strategy of one of the world's leading innovative software companies. We are recognized globally for our CSR program which incorporates widespread support of financial literacy, efforts to promote equality for women in IT, and innovations in support of the success of nonprofit organizations.
As the leader of Intuit's CSR efforts, you will be responsible for helping the company fulfill its CSR vision of improving the financial lives of individuals, small businesses and nonprofits in communities that need it the most. In this role, you will identify opportunities for Intuit to build on prior successes as a leading force for long-term, meaningful social and environmental change.

Our new CSR leader will serve as a player/coach who will drive significant CSR efforts cross-functionally while also establishing a framework for enabling leaders and employees across our worldwide operations to contribute to the advance of our social impact.
This position is based in our Mountain View, California headquarters.
Job Function/Responsibilities
Serve as the internal and external champion and communicator for how our company can fulfill its CSR vision by:
- Developing a deep understanding of the key social and environmental issues that intersect with our areas of business (e.g. small businesses, individual finance, etc.)
- Identifying and helping incubate opportunities for Intuit that leverage its core business assets and capabilities and which create social and business impact at scale
- Fostering external partnerships (e.g. with government agencies) to create the right conditions for implementing the above mentioned new opportunities
- Engaging with external partners and stakeholders to identify emerging CSR trends and best practices, and integrating improvements into our CSR strategy, as needed
- Representing Intuit in external thought leadership opportunities
- Seeking out internal opportunities to evangelize our CSR successes with our employees, i.e. presenting at company events, initiating PR via internal communications networks
Lead our global CSR efforts, which include:
- Refining, communicating, and growing support for our One Intuit CSR strategy
- Designing metrics and leading the measurement of success of new and ongoing global CSR programs that align with the environmental, social, and governance issues important to Intuit's business
- Leading a community of cross-functional Intuit leaders with responsibility for various elements of our global CSR program, including: We Care and Give Back, Diversity and Inclusion, Sustainability, Strategic Philanthropy and Innovation for Social Good
- Driving CSR policy and compliance across the entire value chain
- Supporting Intuit's global CSR metrics reporting efforts including relevant indexes, ratings and rankings
In addition, you will also help launch our new Shared Value Center of Excellence, where your responsibilities would include:
- In the near-term, leading the implementation of a shared value pilot that seeks to create both business and social impact by increasing the success of small businesses in underserved communities; and then taking the pilot to scale across geographies
- Helping establish a functional and governance structure that works closely with business and functional units across the company globally, to identify, incubate and scale shared value CSR opportunities that create meaningful business and social value for Intuit. This will involve:
- Working closely with senior Intuit leaders to identify and champion these opportunities across the business
- Working across business units to innovate and implement shared value opportunities
Qualifications
Necessary skills:
- Ability to influence cross-functional and cross-border business partners and leaders in a matrixed organization as an individual contributor
- Comfortable as a thought leader communicating her/her insights and Intuit's CSR program successes in social media
- Effective in partnering with employees at all levels of an organization, from senior executives to front-line individual contributors
- Strong analytic, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to lead flexibly and positively through ambiguity and change
- Willingness to travel, both regionally and globally
Experience:
- Bachelor Degree required; Masters or MBA a plus
- Experience leading teams or starting a business in the software technology sector. Experience in and having established relationships in the social or environmental sector a plus
- Deep understanding of the key issues that determine the success of low-income individuals and small businesses in traditionally underserved communities. Experience with low-income communities and small businesses outside the U.S. a plus
- Familiarity with the core suite of Intuit products, including our small business, consumer, and pro tax offerings. Deep expertise with our offerings a plus
- Demonstrated expertise and commitment to leveraging business to solve social and environmental problems through shared value and philanthropy
