Position Overview:

We are an International Trading Company and Local Distributor located in Vancouver, Canada and we are seeking a full-time customer service and sales support candidate to help us grow in sales, profit and brand reputation by contributing with the desired administrative skills by completing tasks in an organized, efficient and timely manner. Bilingual, English/French speaking candidate will be preferred. Any other languages is a big plus.

Responsibilities:

  • 90- 95% servicing clients by telephone and email in a professional and courteous fashion.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints
  • Perform customer verifications
  • Process orders, forms, applications and requests
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Record details of inquiries, comments and complaints
  • Record details of actions taken
  • Manage administration
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
  • Follow up on customer interactions
  • Develop and maintain sales accounts
  • Travel arrangements for trade shows, business trips and such
  • Incoming and outgoing communications, including courier, faxes, mail and phone

Qualifications:

  • English/French communication skills - verbal and written
  • Related degree/diploma in international trade
  • Food industry experience will be a plus
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Ability to work in a fast paced organization
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office products.
  • Strong time management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Self Starter and works independently.
  • Acts with initiative and demonstrates an eager willingness to support the team's efforts.
  • Can diplomatically handle communications with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
  • Excellent phone and communication skills
