Vermont Housing & Conservation Board: Creating affordable housing, conserving agricultural and recreational lands, natural areas and historic properties, since 1987.
Position Overview:
VHCB is seeking an energetic individual to lead our conservation stewardship program. Full-time position coordinates monitoring of conservation easements, works with conservation partners on stewardship issues, helps develop conservation policy, and evaluates applications to conserve agricultural and recreational lands, natural areas, and historic properties.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in land conservation stewardship desired. Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a demonstrated interest in land conservation required. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential. Experience in conservation and real estate transactions, and working knowledge of nonprofit organizations preferred.
